I need a jersey

I guess I'm what is called a Clydesdale around here. As much as I'd like to get there, the skin tight bike jerseys just aren't me. Is "club fit" the way to go? Any one have them with a minimum of advertisements?

I'm probably the least qualified person to answer this question, but the sight of 'pro kit' jerseys just makes me want to wretch so I feel compelled.

As a disclaimer, I haven't bought jersey in years; I'm still wearing a 40 year old Lambertini some times, an old Nike synthetic thing, or a handful of Kuchariks.

Looking online at Performance, I see plenty of plain jerseys of different brands. Irrespective of what one thinks of Performance, there may be one near you where you can go look at them. For example: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...400060__400060

As to big sizes, they probably have them. If not, look at what Kucharik (still in business, but I haven't seen Mr. in a few years. Should drop in and see what's what.) offers size wise: Coolmax Jersey Royal Kucharik

Many of the Clydes seem happy with AeroTechDesign jerseys. And, yes, you want a club fit.

Good hunting!

Check these out too. Voler has nice club fit that doesn't make you look like a wannabee...

The minimum graphic jerseys are easy to find, cheap, and last about forever. I still have (and wear) some old Coolmax Performance jerseys that are at least 25 years old.

My advice would be to go into a bike shop and try them on.

I had misgivings initially, now I have several. Ya get use to it. I really appreciate the rear pockets, use them all the time. I started at 225 lbs using Voler large. Now I am at 185 and using mediums. I only buy when they have sales and they are very customer oriented.

Mountain bike kit is usually looser fitting.

I gave up most of my jerseys with graphics and have gone to Hi Viz & Hi ViZ socks too. But I do like having back pockets

Try the Bontrager Solstice. This has been my go to Jersey for 2 years. I have 5 of them. I bought most at a discount at my lbs.

i really like the jerseys from love2pedal. Of my 30+ jerseys, my favorites are from there, organized rides I have done, or the local club jersey. The others are seldom worn. They have a hung selection of all types.

Oh, thank goodness! I thought I was the only person with a large collection of jerseys.

+1 for Aerotech for price, style and fit for larger riders who don't want to look like a rolling billboard.

Primal also has some good club fit jerseys in larger sizes but their designs tend to be a little loud for my taste.
