Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

+1 on running your tires at a lower pressure as a first attempt at smoothing out the vibration.

I'd recommend finding a stretch of road that's pretty clear with light traffic, just 1/2 mile or so. Reduce your pressure in ~5 psi increments until you get to the smooth spot. I doubt you'll reach the recommended minimum before it gets smooth. If that does happen, you will probably need to swap to Big apples or similar.

I've got osteo-arthritis in both thumbs, I've also had the carpel tunnel operation done on both wrists....riding a diamond frame was out of my life but I missed riding, when I found out about recumbents I realized I could do that. 1st I rented a couple of trikes but settled on what I could afford and bought a used trike in 2006, I eventually donated this trike and in 2009 bought my 1st Catrike (Trail). An excellent touring platform rode many a trail and many roads, also bought the BOB trailer at that time (2010).....In 2013 as my retirement gift I bought an Expedition.....best all round trike (IMHO)...fast on the roads and robust on the trail
