Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For the tubeless users: Chain Reaction has the Schwalbe Pro One Evo Addix TLE on sale for $38 **in 25mm only** No tax and ordering three of them will get you free shipping.

https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/.../rp-prod193327

This is a favorite tire of mine, but I ride 28s, and those aren't on sale.

La Passione is having their winter apparel sale

Their apparel is basically all euro aero fit in their road gear but is otherwise quality stuff. I'd size up for the most part; I'm 5'10" and 181 lbs. and wear a large in Castelli sizing and would purchase XL for La Passione.

Been wanting to try La Passione, but did not want to pay $10 shipping and did not want to chance two jerseys in order to get free shipping. I think the euro cut might be ideal for me since shirts that fit my chest are too short. 6'1" and 160 pounds (slightly more during these holidays). I wear M in Castelli and Rapha, but want to try an aero L.

I would figure you of all people would buy from shops?
Anyways, this is a great deal. I bought some 24" Racing Ralphs for one of my kid's MTBs and they are about 10x nicer than the typical kids MTB tire as well as legitimately just good quality on their own.
Ive seen this website but never ordered from it. Cool to know its legit.

FWIW, Bike Closet is a bike shop in Vacaville. They ship quickly and honestly have good deals; I shop the site for bib shorts and jerseys often. I personally go to my LBS for most things but apparel is something I shop online for based on selection.

I've got these tires on a hardtail 29er. They work great for the local SoCal trails and running around with the kids.

I usually get parts at cost plus shipping/tax because I work at a shop, or buy online if it’s less than cost.

I paid retail -10% for my Intense Primer. I could have bought a bike direct from the manufacturers we carry, but I wanted an Intense.

The Bike Closet is legit, and the shipping is fast. I ordered Monday, and they were delivered Thursday.

Good to know

I got them to use on a fully rigid Santa Cruz Highball, that I plan on using for gravel riding and commuting.

Saddles are personal, but this is worth trying if you're interested in ICS (independent cheek suspension).

More of a PSA. I was looking for a Kuat Sherpa rack recently, even used ones seemed to be running around $500 around here. I found an old thread which mentioned that while e-trailer.com posted a price of $550, once you added it to your cart it went down to $494 with free shipping. I then found a discount code for another 5% off which almost covered VA taxes so got a brand new rack for what most used ones were asking around here.

Pactimo extra 10% off outlet items with code EXTRA10OFF.

Good prices but some of the more common sized are already sold out. I like my Ascent aero jersey that I bought for about the price that the Summits are going for. I only learned a few days ago that Summit is their highest tier (like Pearl Izumi's P.R.O. vs Elite and lower). But I already recently acquired three or four jerseys that I've barely worn, as well as bibs, so nothing for me this time.
