Shimano st-r8020-r shifter repair???

I have a Shimano st-r8020-r shifter. The main lever is broken (but luckily still usable). I have a shifter that I bought off of eBay as "parts only". I'm trying to figure out how to move the lever over. The lever is not available as a separate part. Actually the complete lever is also very difficult to get now (pandemic related).

Is it possible to replace the lever or is that assembly non-serviceable?

Thanks friends

Welcome to the forum. I moved your thread here from General Cycling.

Shimano doesn't really expect you to take these apart, even the exploded view doesn't have it exploded that much. I imagine there may be roadblocks, but I suppose it would be worth a try

Welcome to Bike Forums.

Sorry, I don't know if the lever is meant to be replaceable.
But I did notice a
showing a strip down of the lever assembly that might hold some hints.

Thanks. That shows at least 3 roadblocks that have or would stall me out. I should be able to do the repair that I need with this.

I can't seem to find and remove the e-clip. Any ideas on that?
