Not to mention the entire headset.

Granted, it still isn't half as ridiculous as the powdered Giro D'Italia bars on eBay right now.

I like how it's advertised as a great frame for a fixed gear... as long as you're lucky with the chain tension. He left out that last part.

Oh, right. It has vertical dropouts. Duh. Now that's wacky!

If it was up to me, you muha****ers would stop comin up to me
Wit your hands out lookin up to me, like you want somethin free
When my last fixie was out, you wasnt bumpin me
But now that I got this little company
Everybody wanna come to me like it was some disease
But you wont get a crumb from me
Cause Im from the streets of (CHI TOWN)
I told em all - all them little bike ninjas
Who you think helped mold em all?
Now you wanna run around talkin bout bikes like I aint got none
What you think I sold em all?
Cause I stay well off
Now all I get is hate mail all day sayin K fell off
What cause I been in the lab wit a hub and a cog
Tryin to get this damn build off?
I aint havin that; this is the millenium of aftermath
It aint gona be nothin after that
So give me one more platinum crank
And **** Bikes! cuz they gettin too rank
So wheres all the madd ninjas at?

But all you savage cats, know that I was strapped wit gats

Wow...
I couldn't read the ad, though. The writing style was hard to understand.
-Gene-
It reads like something Billy Mays would have written (the ad, not the book). However I'd be really impressed to find an 8 pound bike: "It is an amazing bike, frame weighs 2.5 lbs, and the entire bike can’t weigh more than 8!"

Lots of people do just that. Then, like the seller in the ad, they do not find jobs in our horrible local economy, run out of money, have to sell off their beloved bikes to make rent, and then finally move back to where they came from.

My wife's sister lives in Portland and we visited in June, what a great time to visit. We would have loved to move, but I hear it rains most of the other months, and a comparable home to ours here would have cost about 8X the price there. Lovely place to visit though, and great beer.

At least the seller knows when to quit.
I will ofcourse put air in them if you buy.
No sense inflating the tires until you've got cash in hand.

Speaking of painting DA parts, that looks like an early AX headset with the bottom race all nice and gold.

That freshly painted rash around the lugs looks suspect too...

Wtf?

A bike that typically sells used for about $100 when in excellent condition, having been only ridden once or twice before being abandoned in the basement for five to 10 years.

This one has been pieced together from old parts...Frankenbike-Style...and he's bragging about it...and this guy wants $250********** "Dude, I put this together with old junk parts I recycled from dumpsters" is now a good sales pitch when you are asking a price comparable to that of a similar brand-new bike? Oy vey!!!!!!!! For $250 in the off-season I want a something like a 10-year-old Bianchi Volpe in my size!

The 3 R's .... Ranting, Raving and Ridiculing

Trek 800 Fully Recycled - $250 (Mount Vernon, NY)

Hi this bike was rebuilt with used alloy wheels, nice tires, improved brake levers all new gear and brake cables and a new bottom bracket, recycled seat and post and blew me away how well it rides almost like a new bike. It has been completely serviced and lubed with no attention to details of its operation overlooked, quite a project actually so I'm relieved to have it come out so well.
To help it roll out the door a little easier I'l throw in your choice of a $30 helmet or Kryptonite lock no charge.

I have other used bikes and provide full service bicycle repairs affordably with new or used parts recycled to help keep costs real world.

Convenient to Highway and Mass Transit
