If you ride with this jersey, Hell’s Angels and Banditos will bow down to you. Satan will cower in fear and the heavens will bellow enchanted horns. It will increase your speed 129% without even having to pedal. It is a size xl but fits more like a large. Maybe even a medium. I would keep it, but its powers are beyond anything I can handle. I will pass it on to you, if you promise to use it wisely. Email me right meow with a number to text.

Well the ad is trying too hard. But fun story I actually have that jersey. My wife got it for me sort of as a joke so naturally I leaned into it and wore it. It's fun but the club fit is atrocious and because it's white, the sunscreen I was using at the time (banana boat sport) stained it yellow. (FYI Coppertone Sport does not stain white kit, I've discovered.)

Too bad, I like quirky crap like that.

That's clever, maybe not $70 clever.

On GMBN Dirt Shed Show this week, the presenters received some knick-knacks that were made by feeding GPS tracks of two popular MTB trails into a 3D printer. They looked like a wrinkled triangle of paper, but once you understood the gimmick it was pretty neat.

At least the seat has been raised. It pains me to pass someone who outgrew their bike several years ago and never raised the saddle. At full "extension" their knees might get to 90°.

I was going to say that's a very reach down to shift, but with the relative shortness of the top tube, maybe not.

I bought my 'Kestrel' from an older gent who was telling me he had a really nice Crestor bike he couldn't ride anymore because of a sore neck. I heard those statins were notorious for causing muscle pain, lol.

Here's the one I redid a couple years ago and at less than half the cost including purchase price of the bike. Please excuse the saddle position, I hadn't worked the bugs out yet, plus that saddle was replaced the same day with an Adamo Prologue.

How absolutely bizarre.

I think you are probably right that there is something not quite right with that bike.
  • Reynolds 531 sticker.
  • Not quite sure about the dropouts. Japanese?
  • Dropout brazes open?
  • No bottom bracket cutouts.
  • 3 cable guides.
  • I'd expect clover + text on fork crowns.
  • Clovers don't quite look right.

One thing about the Roger de Vlaeminck frame. Other than the clovers, it doesn't actually list "Colnago" anywhere.

https://saarf.london/2013/02/19/how-...-fake-colnago/

I'm thinking it may be either a Vagacini or Martelly

I'm not familiar enough with the Roger de Vlaeminck frames to know which brands produced them. There apparently were some Colnago produced Roger de Vlaeminck frames, but generally with distinct markings.

It's not a Colnago for all of these reasons and a few more; however I don't think you can call it a fake. Despite Colnago being mentioned in the header of the ad, there is nothing on the bike to misrepresent it as a Colnago.

I think the wacky is that the bike was used as it sits for triathlons, but the owner is selling it because apparently it can't be used for trail rides.
