Interesting promo. Carmichael and Bobke audio workouts for iTunes. Haven't tried the first one yet.

I downloaded the "prologue" workout. Haven't tried it with a workout yet, but I did manage to listen to it while at work. A lot of it is just music playing at the appropriate target cadence, with Bobke & Carmichael first introducing each phase of the workout by giving you specific target cadence ranges, gearing, etc. to simulate what riders do to prepare for the event.
For the prologue workout, they have you warming up at an easy pace of 85-95rpm in light gearing, simulating the warmup racers do on their trainers before heading to the start ramp (although it is only limited to 15 min, compared to hours on the trainer that TdF guys usually do). From there, you do some fast pedal intervals, 1 min up to 120rpm in light gearing, followed by 1 min recovery, several times. After a 2min recovery following the last interval...it's time for the 10min prologue time trial! All out effort in your usual TT gear, with the music going and Carmichael talking to you with words of encouragement...it feels like you're on the bike, and Carmichael is on the team radio urging you on!
The workout ends with a cooldown ride, 10 min easy spinning at an easy gear. Congratulations! Final times are in, and you've taken the yellow jersey on the first day. Good luck defending it!
Can't wait to actually try it on the bike tonite.

I'd love to see a video version of this like with their DVD series. That would be kinda cool...the "Tour" series....
