PAS issues

I recently put an ebikeling waterproof kit on a 29'er. I've not been able to get PAS to work for more than a few seconds - it will start with pedaling then quits. ebikeling replaced the PAS and I get the same thing. I've asked them to send me another controller but they want the whole kit back to test and I'm not willing to do that. The throttle works and that's how I've been using the bike but I really want PAS to work. Any ideas would be appreciated!

They seem to have good CS FME with them. Why not ask for a new controller? Probably they want the entire kit returned because they don't have the equipment and/or knowledge to test the controller in your kit

I did ask for a new controller and they are sending one. Looking for ideas if it's not the controller

Sorry, should have seen that. Seems like the controller must be the culprit, but guess the display is a possibility. If DW answers, he'll be more definitive.

Two things can go wrong with PAS.First is magnet too far away. Yours looks OK. Other is the disk is on backwards.Sometimes when you do that, the PAS will work if the pedals spin backwards. There's often an arrow stamped on the disk, but sometimes that's not right either.

Is this the LCD or LED kit? I guess it doesn't matter, as I think they use the same controller now. If the new controller don't help, flip the disk.

I'm 99% sure the disk is on correctly - arrows are clear and in the right direction, pedaling backwards doesn't set off the motor. Fingers crossed on the new controller - thanks!

The PAS systems that I'm familiar with have a small red light on when they're "activated"; does yours have this characteristic?
