Possible to convert Shimano WH-RS170 to tubeless?

Has anyone succeeded converting Shimano WH-RS170 wheels to tubeless? They’re conventional clinchers with 17mm inner width. I have a pair of Schwalbe X-One Allround EVO TLE tires (33mm tubeless CX tires) with tubes, but I’d like to see if I can get the combo to set up an airtight seal with Schwalbe’s tubeless conversion kit. Have had mixed results with the 1-2 times I’ve inflated them w/o sealant. I’m not sure if there’s room in the rim bed for both the beads and the tubeless valve base.

A bike shop used a compressor and inflated them; air mostly stayed in overnight.
I used a neighbors tubeless inflation booster but couldn’t get them to seat and seal airtight after 3-4 attempts.

The wheels: https://road.cc/content/review/23543...er-disc-wheels

The tires: https://www.schwalbe.com/en/road-rea...x-one-allround

The Tubeless Easy conversion kit:

Thanks!

$72 for the easy conversion kit to maybe get a $175 pair of wheels tubeless? Maybe you already have the kit? Personally, I'd spend my money on a better wheelset and possibly sell your current set.

People have mix results when trying to get tubeless working on non tubeless compatible rims. From my own experience with non taped tubeless rims, whether air will hold or not really comes down to the tape job.

Well, it was more like $50 for the conversion kit, but I see your point. Yeah, I suppose I could shell out ~$1000 for a pair of nicer wheels but the bike was less than $2000.
