Specialized Turbo Vado charging issues
Hi, I’ve just bought a Turbo Vado 3.0. When I first charged it everything was ok. I have just tried to charge it for the second time and all I am getting is a flashing green light on the charger and the battery will not charge. This is with the battery both on and off the bike.
does anyone know what this light means and how to cure it?
thanks

Thanks for your useful comment. I would never have thought of that!
The manual does not mention a flashing green light. There should be a red light when charging which turns to a solid green when done.

Go to the Electricbikereview.com forum and join it. There is a Specialized ebike area. Look up Brendon@TBSM He's a member that owns a bike shop and is very active in the Specialized ebike section.
Is the charger plugged in? Lol......

I had 2 pages that explained how to charge the bike. One said plug the charger into the bike then the wall. The other said plug it into the wall then the bike. It worked better when I did bike then wall (I think, I've only done it twice and the last time was a week ago).

I’ve never experienced a flashing green light. Here are some questions that may help you isolate the issue:
1. What level is your battery at? Is it completely dead or just partially dead?
2. Is the wall outlet good? Can you use another outlet to see if that fixes the issue?
3. Is the charging plug connected correctly to the bike?
4. Is the bike powered on or off when you charge?
5. Have you called your local bike store? They may have another charger you can use to test if it is your charger or your battery/bike.

Best solution is the dealer. Specialized uses a lot of proprietary stuff on their bikes and they may have a computer hook-up to diagnose a problem.
OR... it might just be something simple and they can tell you the fix.
