yeah but the other problem is the copyright takedowns so the stream disappears just as the race enters the final 10k

I'll interpret that to mean that either a) teams are offloading stock at the end of the season or b) Spec is coming out with a new bike meaning the current one will be obsolete.

We have 6 or so Shiv riding juniors graduating to the ranks of "no more free stuff". There is also the chance of equipment switch. Others teams do this too. I'd never buy a used junior road bike seeing how they use them, but a TT bike might be worth keeping an eye out for. Then again late summer you can find good eBay deals.

Who contacted me about SLR saddles? I can't find any notes/etc. I think it was from here. Thanks.

GoDaddy VPS feels like it's trying to compete with RackSpace, but it's silly how weirdly it is setup. If RS is a DeTomaso, GoDaddy VPS is a kit version of the the car, held together with duct tape.

rackspace is the kiddie pool compared to AWS.

We use AWS, and I was surprised to recently learn that it accounts for the majority of Amazon's profit.

It's pretty much their only significant profit. The margins are around 28%.

It came up because we started providing a bunch of instructional videos, and we managed to host all mega gazillion GB of them with some random provider with unlimited downloads for something like $9/month, which makes AWS look usurious.

Of course, the difference is that we don't care that much if the free videos are unavailable for some period of time due to their server facility melting or whatever, but our main hosting can't be failing...
