So we're clear, this video is a parody. It's not "hating".

Par*o*dy - noun
"an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect"

mash is taking so long for a reason, they want it to be good and it will be. these little 3 min youtube vids are great but i think its time to stop trying to make them look like a trailer that came out of s.f. 2 years ago.

oh, just cuddle up and embrace meta-referential post-modernism. it's not new, but we're all hopelessly a part of its perpetuation. the best we can hope for is that whenever someone engages in it, they re-contextualize the allusion as completely as possible.

it'd be easy for niki and lee to make this its own thing--it is its own thing--but it's fun to egg something on that everyone is waiting to see by trying to entertain the anxious and bored with a million other hyper-myopic foci on the same basic premise while everyone fleshes out their final work.

it keeps things from fading into irrelevance. i like to think of youtube parodies as life support for whatever it is that they parody.

i'm 100% down for the parody, and i realize the longer mash takes to come out the more parodies are gonna come out. it shows that people are really anticipating seeing it but starting to get bored waiting for it. **** i know i am, thats why nash happened.
i guess all i'm saying is i wish i knew a few people in nyc that wanted to go out and film some stuff we are really into, and not just poking fun at mash.

there's plenty of amazing stuff happening in this city but no one has put together a lifestyle piece documenting it.

I think this is the key point. For focusing on such a mercurial trend, MASH sure is taking its sweet time to film all of the croosh bar spins and wheelies that SF riders have to offer. If it is indeed the most important thing the producers are working on at this moment, I have a hard time believing that there's so much footage to work through that they can't put together a damn hour long film in over two years.

Dude, that was amazing...

YouTube immediately brought this one up afterwards:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn4EuooKzwY&NR
It's just called "Bike Skills" and it's some UK trials rider, but check out the FRONT FLIP! I never thought that was possible. It's like Cru Jones Plus!

the first rule of being a hipster is hating on other hipsters and denying your hipster-dom. by admitting to being a hipster you aren't a hipster.

This is stupid...I want to be a hipster. Why does life have to be so hard these days.

life is a catch-22 my friend. the sooner this is realized, the sooner one can try to figure a way around it and fulfill the goal of hipster-dom.
