Getting back into the game.
Hello all,
I am getting back into cycling after a few years break. I built a nice road bike from an old 1971 Raleigh grand prix frame I bought off my buddy for 20 bucks. I used a Shamano 600 arabesque crank set , derailleur and shifter. New rim hoops and spokes for the Normandy high flange hubs as well. I topped it off with a Brooks B17 saddle. The bike is a dream to ride and puts s smile on my face with every ride. I have always had a passion for bikes since I was a child. I also have a 1968 Hercules 10 speed , my childhood ride . She needs new hoops and spokes desperately. The other 2 bikes I got at yard sales, a nice Bridgstone that has a bent rear rim and a BCA 12 speed. ( bicycle co. Of Allentown pa.). My pride and joy is my 1872 Rudge roadster high wheel bike that's been in my family for almost 100 years and is still rideable.

Welcome to Bike Forums Glennr134! We don't get many high wheel riders here.
