1981 Bianchi - approximate value?

new user, looking to get an approximate value of my 1981 Bianchi Campione del Mondo. ebay provides some info, but a bit confusing as a bike similar to mine being sold as different model. I posted 4 pics to my Gallery (ggsondaug). Also, comments appreciated on how to add more pics (derailleur, brakes, crank, etc.) to that gallery, maybe 4 is the limit(?). thank you in advance.

Yes, sales data is available but don't know how to access. There is a fellow on Classic Rendevous that posts past sales on vintage parts. Maybe a CR member on this forum can assist.

The seller could be incorrect.

If your decal pictured is original to the bike I wouldn't use a random ebay seller with a similar looking bike as my template for value.

A lot of cyclists are afflicted by celestitis and are willing to pay big premiums for Bianchi. Having said that, this is only a mid-range model with bid-range Aelle tubing and mostly mid-range Gran Sport components. $1900 is totally unrealistic. I wouldn't be in at even 1/5 that price.

The bike has a lot going for it, but also has some things that might limit appeal. On the positive side it appears to be an Italian-made Bianchi in celeste paint and in decent shape. On the negative side, it is constructed of Aelle tubing and there is damage to some decals (especially head badge) and some issues with the paint, minimal as they may be. It seems to be a popular size, so that is a plus.

In New York right now you could apparently get top dollar. Other markets are actually depressed and vintage bikes are losing value.

In my neck of the woods, that is a $250 to $350 dollar bike.
