Suntour Cyclone 7000 crank/mechs/levers

$68 shipped anywhere in the US. SOLD SOLD SOLD

Make that $60 for everything if you buy CV-6's Cyclone calipers here
: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...ped-conus.html

Cranks 165 with rings 53/42, BCD 130. Will ship with generic caps, sadly these had none. Not much wear across the board. Chrome is great.

Donor bike met its fate on a roof rack. Hello, garage ceiling!

I'll need to measure when I get home, but I'm pretty sure the 130 at the top/rear of drive side arm is the BCD. If you look at the Cyclone 7000 on Velobase, that claims 144 but you can clearly see there's a dimensional variation.

I found one anecdotal note from someone here on BF suggesting they moved to 130 later. The pic at Velobase was posted by @CV-6 maybe Lynn can confirm if that's a "144" embossed on the back of his where mine has "130" in the meantime? Or I can try to hunt some pics.

I am not going to be able to help you with that info. Those cranks are long gone...back to Japan even, and I no longer have the pic. They were nice cranks.

I will suggest that there would not have been anything embossed on the 144 cranks assuming a later change to 130. I am thinking the later style were embossed with 130 to distinguish them from the earlier 144. That is assuming I did not screw up and mine were 130 and I did not realize it.

I think you may be right, and thanks for replying back. It was a longshot whether you had still or not. I noticed a pair of just the cranks sold on here for $42 a while back but those weren't a huge help either.

@CycleryNorth81 I just took a digital caliper to these, and while it looks like I'm slightly off center, it's just perspective. from holding the caliper w/one hand and shooting with the other.

According to Sheldon's cheat sheet, at 76.4 between adjacent, these would be 130 BCD, which would match what's embossed on the back side.

Thanks for checking the BCD for me. I think it would fit for me better if I went with a crank that has a 110 BCD to run smaller rings. GLWS

Thanks for quoting my original post or I would've missed your reply. Life has been handing me a bag of soggy dongs for the last 3-4 months so I haven't had time to wrench on bikes or check the forum lately.

I do still have this stuff, and I haven't thought about the price, I've watched other similar stuff in worse shape sell for more $$ since I posted this. I doubt CV-6 still has his Cyclone calipers available so I'd just let it all go for $65 shipped. If you're in the ATL area and can pick up in person, I'll take $50 and meet up in a safe and mutually convenient area for quick COVID-friendly handoff. (Edit: Nevermind, looks like you're in Cali)

I think you may need to reply one more time to hit 10 posts before you unlock access to Private Messages, though. Once you do, shoot me a PM if you're still interested, I'll give you my PayPal/Venmo info. This is a great groupset with very little wear.

An easy way to eyeball 144 BCD vs 130 - can you go smaller than 42 teeth? With a 144 BCD, the answer is yes. With a lot of extra effort and reduced margin you CAN make a 41 fit, Campagnolo made 144 41s for years but hen's teeth were much easier to find. (I knew about them in 1977. I have yet to actually see one.) Now if your eye says "yeah, sure, a 40 would fit" like on the crankset above , its a 130 BCD.

I run a 144 crankset on my fix gear and 42 and 43 tooth rings. I see on a regular basis that there isn't much extra there.
