Nope. But I would strongly consider “accidentally” threading my lock through that rack hog just to make my ultra-hippy passive-aggressive side feel righteous. Uh, I mean, nope.

Or were you referring to the 2-toned bar tape? Man, 2-toned bar tape really chaps my leather.

That style of security rack is terrible. I do that all the time at my work when I ride and have to use the rack(instead of a wall). No bike is ever in the rack, so its different from a street corner like this, but still- that style rack sucks and leaning along the rack is best(for the user).

TBF, bike racks are rare enough most riders probably don't know how to use one.

I think those two hump wiggle racks are designed to lock up a half dozen bikes, but realistically, I've rarely seen more than 3 bikes tied to one. Not really the best high density bike parking.

Yeah, why the unnecessary kick-stand. That really chaps me.

What chaps me is when someone uses to spots to park their expensive car. Must resist temptation to use my keys in a way they were not intended to be used. This bike rack is probably ignorance more than any
thing.

See red? No. What's wrong with this pic is in my neighborhood the front wheel/tire and seat would not still be attached to the bike.

I carry a small notepad and pen in my commuting pack. When I see "rack hogs" like this and I have pen and paper, I leave them a note asking them to please consider locking up in a different manner that allows others to also use the rack at the same time.

Nope. There's still plenty of room to lock up at least one other bike.

Most bike rack designs are terrible. I'm never surprised by how people lock up their bikes. Some bikes and lockup racks seem deliberately designed to defy each other.

The way the bike is parked- that's the issue?

The kickstand does bother me.

We had similar style racks downtown once but they got cut off.

One might consider an old lock and chain. Gift them to the offending rack hog. No key of course.

I can't fathom the wiggle design racks on my son's campus--they're about twice as thick as the one in the picture. It makes it pretty much impossible to use a U lock effectively.

I might or might not have "reoriented" bikes locked in the manner of the picture. Not damaged them, mind you, but askew enough to make the point.

There's often a type of rack whose proper use requires putting a wheel over it, and I've had to deal with ones that are improperly installed next to a wall. The only way to use those is to take up several slots locking perpendicular as in the picture.
