Surly Long Haul Trucker and rear mounted kickstand???

I know a kickstand question!
Has anyone gone through the process of mounting a rear triangle kickstand? Would like to hear your story!
Thanks!!

I have mounted a greenfield rear stabilizer to one. I had to grind off part of the spoke spoke holders to make it work, there was still room for 2 spokes in the center, after that it worked good but this was not a disc brake bike. I am sure this would void the 3 year frame warranty but I don’t care.

I haven't mounted a rear triangle kickstand to a LHT, but I'm sure it's been done as I found several Google images in mere seconds. Most people seem to go with the more conventional chainstay mount, which Surly has opposed in the past, but a few years ago began to offer their own custom LHT/DT kickstand mount, only $15 MSRP from any LBS/eBS.
