That is great to see. I am glad to see that the site isn't just sitting idle.

It's funny, I've never met or exchanged an e-mail with the man, yet I feel I kind of know him just from his writing style and wit on the website. I would have liked the chance to meet him, seems like he was a genuine character.

Exactly! His site is not intimidating and was very helpful to me while I was learning. I still reference his site every time I get an old 3 speed. He was a member here at bikeforums too.

The John referred to on the the updates page is John Allen and old friend of Sheldon.
https://www.bikexprt.com/
You will also see his name on the Sutherland's after the first or second edition.

One of the first sites I found when I got back into riding a couple years ago. I was visiting it regularly and going through his blog unaware he had passed. The wife has family up in CT and we have been planning to go spend some time up that way and I was already planning a visit to Harris to Meet Sheldon. I about Cried when I got to the end of his blog and found he had left us.

Very happy to see the site being maintained. I visit it often looking for tips or using gear calculators etc.

Oh, that's great that it's getting updated again.

There was a page that he never finished about Suntour.
https://www.sheldonbrown.com/suntour.html
I wouldn't mind at all seeing that topic get the full treatment some day.
