I would have said the same thing, but how do you explain the 1948 license plate? Aside from that, I've worked on a couple late 50's and early 60's JCHiggins bikes, and they were made in Austria (very nice bikes, too). Why do you think this one can't be from '48 or earlier?

Daaaaaamn that's pretty! The headlamp, rear rack, everything. It wouldn't fit me but I'd still pay 75 bucks for it.
