my first classic peugeot ... help with Id?

Hello all I just picked up my first classic peugeot over the weekend and I was trying to figure out a bit more Info about what I have. Being new to the cycling world I wanted to post up here since this forum seems to be a source of great knowledge for all things 2 wheels!

What I know:
Reynolds 501 chrome alloy frame
ID sticker that reads:
4351026
Ph501 57

What I guess:
Possibly a mid 80's pgn10 ?

@vtwinjunkie - the ad expired. Likely you will not get many responses until you provide pics! Welcome to C&V. Hopefully you used the search button and were overwhelmed with all things Peugeot! Likely the knowledge is here. We want you to look for it first! You will learn more than you expect in the process!

Trying to add a pic but it isn't allowing me to do so from my mobile device. I suppose I will have to wait until this evening.

Your Peugeot is a PH-501. The ID sticker will give the model number towards the end. You can also tell by looking at your frame, which isn't lugged.

Pre-1988 PH501. Looks like some component swapping has taken place.

On vintage bikes, I don't usually like rims that aren't silver, gray, or black.

On yours, I think it looks good. Nice match with the bar tape, too.

I'm definitely a retro grouch and I feel like I should hate it, but I don't.
