T-m-T,
to get back to El Dorado Park area, take North (of underpass) side exit for GG Blvd, and go west.
At Lewis, go right, then over the GG/22 Freeway. At bottom of the hill, go left on Lampson.
Take Lampson all the way to Ninth, go right.
After Chapman, turn left on Orangewood. Take it west all the way to Magnolia, then right.
Go several big blocks to Ball Rd., then left.
This should be familiar territory. Take all the way to Bloomfield, or on to El Dorado Park.
Most of the streets I guide you to are in Google Maps as bike friendly and I've personally ridden this route close to 50 times.

Article says the estimated homeless near the Katella is 500 people. Give all of them new bikes and bike trailers. Let's see where they go next.

Ball Rd seems to be the where the line was drawn as to not letting any homeless move north of it. Although I haven't ridden north of Ball, when you're on the bridge, as far as the eye can see looking south, you see homeless. Looking north, nothing.

"Federal judge orders Orange County to stop evicting homeless from riverbed; encampment inhabitants can remain for now"
https://www.ocregister.com/2018/02/0...emain-for-now/
So how'd you like to own one of those condos that's butted right up against the homeless camp?
I can't tell you how much this makes by blood boil.

Why shouldn't we just let them move down to the beaches? There are bathrooms and I can't ride my bike on sand. I wonder how loud the squawking would be if they went there.

So, if they've stopped evicting them, does that mean that we can ride on that stretch again or are the only people really suffering from this bicyclists?

It’s hard to believe that the courts can be that out of touch with reality. Except for that this is California.

Sorry for the commuters and locals not being able to fully partake of a "Community" resource. Seems like Judge Carter p****d on the homeowners, tax payers, local merchants, professional sports teams and vendors in the Anaheim -Orange region.

At every entrance to SART is a sign that says camping is prohibited. So people break the law then get a LAWyer to go to COURT on their behalf and get an order allowing them to continue breaking the law.
Nice, how many other laws can we apply this to?

No, he is obviously a very honorable and compassionate judge. Perhaps his decision enables a societal problem to further ingrain itself into a local issue? It appears the local governments did offer assistance. Approximate 90% of the campers refused help. Let's see where this all leads. Give it a year.

This isn't about compassion. This is about telling law enforcement that they are not allowed to stop people from breaking the law. The trail remains closed, and the encampments are free to continue their behavior. The only people punished are the innocent-- cyclists, homeowners, and the taxpayers of Orange County. What the hyper-liberals need to embrace is the idea that you can boost one group up without standing on another group's chest. Preferential treatment is being given to people who are willfully breaking the law. It's like we're living in bizarro world.

Judge David O. Carter... same judge that screws up trademark cases. Quite the reputation and not all good.

LA NBC news following Winter Olympics opening ceremony talks about having only recently learned that public libraries are routinely infested with bed bugs and subsequently treated for it but it is never disclosed to the public why the library was temporarily closed for, maintenance.
So, how do the bed bugs get there? Homeless bring them in...
The news didn't go into much detail but Googling the matter turns up that public libraries have become, "the front line of America's homelessness crisis..." and librarians aren't too happy about it--e.g., "They come to the library for all sorts of reasons: to seek warmth and shelter, to use the restroom, to access the Internet, to meet friends and, yes, even to read books and newspapers."

Looks like progress. They are moving the homeless out next week.

But what was expected to be a hearing about the constitutional rights of homeless people quickly morphed into a broader reckoning of how to get an estimated 500 to 1,000 homeless people off the riverbed and into an emergency shelter in a matter of days.
“We’re going to solve it right here,” Carter said from his bench.
“I’m tired of the paperwork ‘we can’t get it done’ nonsense,” the judge said.

Well, there's those 85 percentile speed limit laws that come to mind, where if enough people in cars choose to ignore the posted speed limit and the basic speed laws then that becomes legal and the cops are not allowed to use radar and such to issue speeding citations (if they ever wanted to start doing that sort of thing again).

30 day free motel. I wonder how that will work. One person gets a room for 30 days and lets half a dozen others stay too, when that 30 days runs out maybe they do it again with somebody else's voucher.

We're never going to win. Sometimes I feel like we're spitting into the wind. All this talk does nothing other than make me more upset.
