This may be of interest to some, if they can overlook the fork...

Those tires are awful! $575 seems high for an '89 model with a MSRP of $540ish It was a nice bike in it's day though

Gitane Road Bike - $350 (Cambridge)

This is a gitane bike I don't know what year is from is got campagnolo components and scratches the front wheel is bent but the bike is super light weight is a 531 renold frame if interested please contact me at 617-819-4048 thanks.
  • do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
I picked this up (talked the guy down on price quite a bit due to the bent front wheel--- and it's actually pretty nice, but odd: looks like an early 70's Gitane TdF with the simpler lugs, a Simplex rear dropout, a brazed-on rear brake cable bridge, but oddly with lots of Campy parts, including a Cinelli 1a stem in 22.0 size, NR seatpost, an NR rear der. with "Patent" but no year number..... so 1969-ish? Maybe a frame that someone put some earlier Campy parts on? Or a TdF that someone tried to turn into a Super Corsa imitation.....

Anyway it's pretty nice, and the paint is not bad, though the foil decals are long gone.... the 531 sticker was still there, had been hidden under the pump clip. There's something I really like about these bikes. Somehow they manage to be homely and lovely at the same time...

TALL FRAMESET TIME!!

Roy Thame (Holdsworth) - NOS/original wrapping (as seen in some of the photos) - 63cm (looks like a CTC measurement) - Bid from $0.99 at present...

Early '80s KHS Olympian (not Olympic) - 62cm (CTC most likely) - $160 - Reynolds 531 DB tubing - gorgeous detailing (those lugs! that seat stay cap!), gorgeous paint and overall condition, apparently a shorter 56cm top tube, also apparently came with Campganolo Gran Sport - what a gem this looks to be though!

1984 Univega Gran Premio - 63cm (catalog size) - Tange Champion (#1?) tubing - $150 - Beautiful color and condition. The GP was technically #4 in Univega's lineup that year, and was graced with Cyclone MII components, but it, IMO, is worthy of better/upgrading. Big fan of these Unis

Fuji Saratoga touring bike - $350 (Codman St)

I don't know anything about bikes, let alone fancy bikes, but my ex-bf who was Very Into Bikes assessed this one as high quality and excellent condition, so I bought it a year ago and have not ridden it once.

All the parts were new or nearly new when I bought it, except the tires which needed to be replaced then and still do.

Here are the parts I can definitely name:

Quick Release Sovos Wheels
Dia Compe brakes
Sun Tour bar end shifters
Sake Custom Modolo Anatomic bend handlebars
Ishiwata Feather Si35 tubing
BG saddle

I'm 5' 7" and this bike is my size.

Asking exactly the amount that I paid for it.

Either way makes sense to me. She thought bicycling sounded like a good idea, and her boyfriend was into it, but she just never got around to it. People make that kind of purchase all the time. People who have disposable income, anyway.

Riggio 12 with spare wheel set
Endicott, NY which is near Binghamton.
Not the high end frame for this brand but I believe someone here said these were made by Viner

'I'm selling my 700cx25 in 12 speed it comes with a extra set of rims that I paid 100 dollars for it's in good shape I took really good care of it always stored in side all it needs is a set of tires for which they cost about 10 buck a piece but the rims the tires for it are a little more do to it's a different style rim so the price is negligible"

Very cool, pretty rare, lots to like, small.

You would have to need and want at that $$$.

Motobecane Grand Touring, 56cm, looks like late '70s-early '80s. Only $85. Kinda interested myself but not quite what I was looking for.

Old school Fisher. I really dig the high flange hubs. Not sure I’ve seen that on a mtb before.

I was searching hub measurements, for spoke length(lazy), for Sunshine high flange, and found a lot of the mounted to 20" wheels
