Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That’s how it starts. The beginning of the end. You know how I know.

What is it with the Astros? Best record in baseball, and they show up without the slightest idea what to do on either side of the ball. Sad.

If you’re not burned out at the end of the season, you’re underdoing it.

One of the newbie cyclists in my group keeps over-inflating his tires. He is running 28’s and is small, likely weighs around 130. He is running 95 PSI. I told him 75 is likely sweet spot but he said he tried 80 and they felt soft and mushy.

I am trying to educate my fellow cyclists about tire pressure, but it’s a losing battle.

Came in from a very hot 40 miler, popped open a beer, and forgot about it. Waste not want not, I'm drinking it anyway, less than cold.

I had a gigantic beer midride. We only rode the tandem about 3 miles round trip to go see the Seahawks win at the local wall-of-TVs bar.

Ramona said "That sure is a big beer." I said, "It's a nice size, but not that big. This is a child's size beer in Germany."

I'll take the one on the right. I will be a ha;ppy man if I never again have to use the one on the left.
