Stem angle Q?
I ordered a 73° stem but it's either pointed way up or way down, I want it parallel to the TT, will a 84/96° stem fix it?
Also, do 3t stems run short?
I have a 110mm ARX team and it looks more like 100mm to me.

3T 73 degree stems run long. 73 degrees will make it parallel to the ground, if you want it parallel to the top tube, then I guess it depends on your top-tube angle...

btw, if you want a 84 degree 100mm ARX and have a 73 degree ARX I will trade you, depending on it's actual (not claimed) length. Measure it along the extension from center to center (close enough would be along the top from the center of the stem clamp to the end w/o faceplate.

Thanks for the offer but I'm pretty sure I need a 110mm.

Stem measurments depend on which way you measure it. In the upright position it will read shorter than it would in the lower position. Which way is the listed spec? I would assume it is the lower position but I don't know for sure.

Stems are typically measured by their extension, which is independent of angle

For it to be parallel to your TT, you need to know your HT angle and TT angle. And that info about the T3s being labelled wrong is very good...I was looking at these.

Second, top tubes on compact frames vary a lot. The only way you could know the exact angle you need is to determine the angle between your heat tube and your top tube (you could probably get a really good guess with a friggin' protractor). Whatever angle that is, subtract that from 180 and get that angle on your stem.
