Maybe the CV forums 50 years from now will be cautioning about bikes from the covid bike boom. At least there won't be turkey levers. But, the bikes probably won't be around then either.

Well, Buster Posey's taking a COVID-19 break this year...

Quite telling is that final image of Giant’s chairperson on an ebike.

Tell me about it. No pitching either.

It did make me wonder if the rides she was bragging about were assisted.

The aluminum stuff will make it.

I see no drop bars, I see no peloton. I see a 70 year old person enjoying a bike ride up a mountain.

I see no problem.

I've been kinda resistant to the ebike stuff. But, if we see a change in transit infrastructure to support two-wheeled transit... maybe it's not a bad thing so much.

The best bike is one somebody will actually ride.

As much as I personally hate it, several of my friends and neighbors will only ride e-bikes. I've given some of these people nice midrange hybrids or MTBs I fixed up. The gift bikes were hardly ever ridden and I see them around the neighborhood on the e-bikes all the time.

If it gets them on two wheels instead of a four-wheeled, combination battering ram and deathbox, all the better.

Can't say I mind a bit of an assist from the standpoint of a bicycle for transportation either:

This was converted into a simple, 24V 250W pedelec. It has a bit of C&V cred too - it rides on 26x1-3/8" rims.
