Yeah, the early stuff looked clunky but it worked, and well enough to become ubiquitous on non-drop-bar bikes.

This $250 Bertoni (Matrix) is too big for me, or I might have a frame for all the '80s Campy bits in my bin. Paint looks perf.

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/d/somerville-renewed-bianchi-rekord-cm/7199455234.html

Renewed Bianchi Rekord 940 - 54cm, beautiful speedy retro build! - $280

Clearing out the collection - selling an amazing rare Bianchi that was made in Italy in the mid-90s. It's got 2x8-speed Shimano 600 (Ultegra) indexed shifters with a great click, hooked up to a more updated modern 105 derailleur and Suntour front. Beautiful vintage steel frame with a shining 3T stem. I've done a lot to make it better than just road-ready, including:

- Completely new brake + shifter cables and housings
- New pinstripe bar wrap with extra gel pads in the drops
- Brand new KMC 8-speed chain
- New modern Origin8 brake calipers
- Low-wear chainring, cassette, and brake pads swapped in from a 2015 Nishiki
- Front + rear lights included! (just not installed yet when I took these photos)

The bike is pictured with my backup road wheelset; it's actually going to come with the original, freshly trued wheelset with beautiful 600 hubs/Matrix ISO rims (pictured at the end), which ended up being actually lighter than the ones I had on. The Gatorskins have plenty of life in them, but I'll send you off with two other used 700c road tires as backups.

Rides and shifts like a dream. The bike has a fair amount of cosmetic wear, but is structurally as solid and fast as its first days on the road - you can ride around town in speed + confidence on a bike that's newly revamped but still not a big theft risk! Priority is for this bike to go to a good home - I can be flexible on price if it's necessary.

So I have this frame and I put all this stuff from my parts bin on it. The turkey wings are a nice touch

Trek 560 Racing Road Bike - $675 (Hingham)

Hand built – Made in the USA – Molybdenum Steel.

Size – I’m 5’4” – I’m at the very low limit - fits someone probably 5-5” - 6’+ better.

Original owner – this was in the front window of the bike store when I bought it and it was very expensive!

Shimano 105 components, Forte' replacement wheels and rims w/ aero spokes. Carbon fiber seat post – Performance Bike Forte' pro saddle. Pedals are Shimano 105 clip ins you’ll probably need to replace with what works with your shoes.

This bike has been used; but also well maintained / cleaned / regularly broken down re-greased / upgraded. There are minor dings …

Price is reasonably negotiable.
This ad will be taken down immediately when Sold

Very Rare 1979 Raleigh Team Record European Market Model - $400 (Metro)

Rare offering for here in the US, excellent vintage condition, just out of long-term storage, purchased from the original owner on the North Shore with a solid history behind it, this is not the US-market Raleigh Record that was simply painted in the Team Raleigh colors back in the late 1970s, the US-marketed bike was a lower-end 10-speed offering in the US catalog and they pop up for sale fairly regularly, the bike being offered here is totally different, the 23.5 inch frame is constructed of Reynolds 531 double butted throughout and forks (all Reynolds decals remain intact and are readable, slight itch to the seat tube decal caused by the placement of the not-original pump bracket which has since been removed by me), same window cut lugs as on my 1978 Professional MkV for you Raleigh junkies, Worksop-Carlton made ("Made in England" Union Jack decal remains 100 percent intact), Campy forged dropouts, rears have threaded adjusters!), nice and neat lug work reflects the pride of workmanship at Worksop at that time, the bike is all original with the exception of what the owner reported was a switch to more manageable period-correct switch to 27" by 1" clincher wheels laced to the original Sansin low-flange hubs with sealed bearings, Atom-Maillard skewers are probably original, wheels now are built with gorgeous Rigida narrow-alloy clincher rims and are dressed with CyclePro 25-630 100 PSI Kevlars), the Raleigh-marked alloy stem and the alloy bars are likely SR, Raleigh-marked SR crank, SR micro-adjusting seatpost, shifters and ratchet levers are 1st generation Suntour Cyclone as was the correct set up for the time, and now recognized as the best components for the money during the period, maybe even better (gasp!) than Campy Super Record, Weinmann 605 sidepulls and drilled out levers with gum rubber hoods, again, brakes were the "sleeper" calipers for the period and they pull nice and smooth and hard, original black cotton bar tape, not shown in this older pic by I have sourced and installed the correct Avocet saddle with Raleigh markings. This bike would roughly be the equivalent of the Competition GS or Super Course MKII in the US catalog during the post 1977 period, Todd 774-249-2198

Honestly dunno if $800 is a fair asking price or not (considering the build kit, prolly not far off?) ...
.... but that's a pretty fly machine right there.

maaaaybe a bit more than I'd pay, especially without the original cockpit/shifters, but on the other hand, I don't see the road model Bridgestones come in mixte variants too often.

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...196874159.html

GORGEOUS Vintage refurbished Bridgestone Mixte Road Commuter, lightweight CroMol - $325 (NE Portland)

Vintage Bridgestone 400 Mixte Road Bike

Lightweight Double butted CroMoly steel w/a triple front chain ring for hills! Forged dropouts.

51cm - Small size, should fit someone 5’-5’6” approximately.

A super versatile road bike. It's got the low gears of a touring bike, so you can climb any hill, but its racy Mixte geometry gives it a road feel that no regular ladies bike can match.

If this were in my locale, I would be on this like stink on Bigfoot. I'm always looking for decent mixte frames with forged dropouts and integral derailleur mounts. Gravel mixtes are my new specialty.

My guess is that if you want more than one picture the price goes up.

If he had put his French Press on the tailgate of the truck he could of asked $450
