It’s rattle can. This was my first attempt and I made some mistakes. It doesn’t look quite as good up close, and I’ve already had some chipping issues, but overall I’m pleased.

1999 LeMond Buenos Aires with a hi ten Fuji fork (all about that rake...) and some 650b-ness with a triple that wants to be a subcompact. Worst fender lines west of the Mississippi. All I’ve been riding with two bikes in various project stages.

Once upon a time I found a Raleigh Grand Prix out on the curb for garbage pick up and I took it home, it soon became apparent that it had a compromised frame (front end crash) so I stripped all the Raleigh branded parts and looked for a donor frame at the co-op. I found a 25" Raleigh Record frame and did a parts swap, named the new bike Mello Yellow and put it out on CL I might have gone a bike overboard with the yellow components....

It's yellow bike month again. I don't own a yellow bike, but I can show one. I shot this in 2018 after I fixed it up at the bike coop in Brooklyn where I was volunteering. The bike was a wreck. I don't remember everything I did, but I remember struggling with the front derailleur and eventually replacing it. I think I also replaced one of the wheels. I remember the test ride being very satisfying. The coop sold the bike. It's a Raleigh Record, and I estimate it being from 1969.

Son-in-law Dan with my '73 Super Sport. There's a Brooks saddle underneath that gel pad! (not my idea)
