I still think the stem in the OP is sexy. That said, is there anywhere to actually buy it?

I found it on pezcyclingnews in a preview of interbike that's coming up. I'm sure it will be eventually for sale. from Tiso, which has an importer in the US.

Bump!
This subject needs more attention. It must be possible to make a threadless stem design with a more flowing shape. Hidden bolt is just the start. Not just for aesthetics, I don't like the idea to "get caught" in the protruding bolts when flying over the bars in a crash.
Some interesting designs are:
Cinelli Sesamo
Orbea Orca
3T Forge
Syncros 1995

The other perspective is to respect the work of Cino Cinelli and Tullio Camagnolo, they worked hard to get their components both practical and yet aesthetically pleasing. They rejected a lot of designs with the comment "brutto", eg. ugly.
And their designs are still living strong, so it's a shame that many manufacturers today just care about function and use, when other values also needs to be considered for a satisfied user.

I bought a Major Taylor adjustable stem a while ago, but it takes a 23.8mm handlebar, I believe, so I haven't gotten around to making anything that would fit it yet.

...so how do you load the headset? Does it have a bolt going through the top like a threaded quill that compresses the entire thinger down onto the fork? Does that bolt go into your starnut? What if you have a carbon steerer with compression nut inside. Seems complicated, I don't like.
