solid choice, my only other suggestion is a rear hub with a high POE count for a SS. its really nice to be able to lay down power instantly and not 1/4 turn of the crank from where your foot actually is.
plenty of people are more than happy with "regular" levels of engagement though, im just spoiled after i had that trials freewheel

Taking stock of **** I bought over black friday weekend in my flu drug haze.
So I can jam around sweet fixie style when I feel like wearing normal shoes.

Been tempted by those bibs in the past but never pulled the trigger. Would be great to hear what you think of them after some use.

Will share thoughts after I get a chance to ride in em. I've never tried Capo stuff before, but it didn't make sense not to buy them at the price.

These. I couldn't help myself. Been looking at them for months. Does a fixed gear bike need brakes like that? Oh, heck no!! But they sure will look great on my Wabi Classic bullhorn and will stop like MotoGP bike. Have any of you seen the new black Dura Ace BR-9100 brakes especially for the larger tires? Don't...resistance is futile. That's why I bought these......

Yeah, you know, you have a good point. The cranks are kinda bulbous looking but yes, the brakes are darn sexy...especially those new ones but can't justify the added cost.
The cranks keep getting uglier, but the rest of the components are sexy as hell.

Yeah, you know I thought about that to but I'm running Ultegra's on it now and they near enough the same brake just not made the same as the Dura Aces and they stop hard enough to lock up the front wheel.
As a comparison I still run the old Campy delta brakes on my Pinarello and they don't stop worth a darn. Maybe these new Dura Aces should go on it.......hmmmm.....
Funny that over the years I've grown more dependent on good brakes than a good drive train. That's why they are the first to get the upgrade. Maybe I'm bass ackwards in that approach.

I don't think it is backwards. Brakes and tires are the number one upgrades to any land vehicle.
You are going to love those brakes. Do you have levers?
Jenson has the matching DA levers for bullhorn bars. I like their price match feature. Bike Recyclery has a pair of Cane Creek TT levers for $20 if you are looking for used. The SRAM carbon levers are really nice looking.

Tektro's. The modulation is surprisingly good actually. They feather well and when I want to lock up the wheel they respond in kind. There's no abrupt "snagging" of the rim if that's what you mean. I have had brakes do that and these don't. I think the stiffness of the Ultegra's that are on there now help a lot with that to. The Tektro R540 calipers that came off of the bike weren't nearly as powerful.
Those bullhorn Dura-Ace levers at Jensen are pretty nice but I'm not a real fan of bar end levers. I'll see how they work with the current levers and go from there.

Kool Stop dual (salmon/black) seem to strike a nice balance for me on my fixed gear bike. My road bike seems to do better on full salmon.
