Campy 9 Speed Lockrings - Different ID's?

I am swapping a 9 Speed cassette from one wheel to another, and it appears that there must be multiple lockrings for 9+ Speed Campy hubs? The originating wheel (something other than a Campy produced hub) has a lockring that seems to be 26.0mm OD at the threads, The new wheel has a Record Hub, and seems to want to take a larger lockring (hard to tell with my calipers, but it looks like ~26.8mm. Can someone tell me which lockring I should be looking for?

Thanks!

I have lockrings from a Campy Chorus 10-speed rear hub and the threads mike 1.060" or 26.92 (nominally 27 mm) in diameter. That should be the lockring you need for your Record hub too.

If I understand it correctly, there were two versions of Campy 9-speed freehubs. The older one was Campy 8/9-speed compatible and the newer one was 9/10/11-speed compatible. The newer one takes the 27 mm lockring.

There are also different lock rings depending on if you have an 11t or 12-16t 1st cog.

Yes. 8 speed cassettes used a 28x1mm thread lock ring, the first 9 speed freehub bodies 26x1mm, then Campagnolo switched to 27x1mm with the move to over sized axles.
