Road Bike-Ross GranTour II 135$ WORTH IT OR NOT?
Men's road bike, Ross Gran Tour II, Made with Hi-strength, light weight AMLITE tubing. Shimano Derailleurs and Shifters. Weinmann aluminum wheels made in Belgium. Everything runs great, recently tuned up. Great Commuter bike. I'll see if I can get it for a 100$ or so. Need all your opinions

At that same price level, you can find pro level bikes from the 1986 to 1992 "Golden Age" of road bikes. Assuming that the bike fits you perfectly, and that the bike, hubs, and rims are in "mint" condition...maybe $75 makes sense.
The problem is, this bike will take up some of your time, money, and space that could be allocated toward a better bike. Fixing up an old Schwinn Varsity can be as resource intensive as fixing up an old Schwinn Paramount...you have to focus your resources on the best alternative.

It depends on where you live. $135 for a Ross Gran Tour II in New York City is probably standard. In Philly, it's probably a little high. In Raleigh, NC the seller better plan on looking at the bike a looonnngg time cause it isn't going to sell. The $75 Alanbikehouston suggested is about right for my area if it's really clean, new tires, chain in excellent condition with little or no stretch. For best results tell us where you live.
Personally, I'd pass on it no matter where you live. There's nothing special about that bike. An entry level bike like a Schwinn Traveler from the mid 80s with a chromoly frame would be a much better deal.
As for pro level bikes selling for $135, I wouldn't wait for that to happen cause it's not happening where I live.

WV is not flat..
I've got an 84 Gran Tour I got for $20 at a yard sale. It has a 4130 cro-moly frame and is actually pretty light for a lower level bike. It's a little tall for me though. Would make a great ss/fg bike..

Ya, depending on where you live. Most things that have asking prices
under $100 here in Boston usually have a caveat that they need work.
This is a Grand Tour that was advertised today on Boston's CL asking $120.

I'm guessing the seller will get his asking price, but that is Boston.

EDIT: Exception to the above is the Signature series, IMHO very nice bikes. I'd like to find one of those in my size for a good price.

Its really better to develop a list of target bikes, models and the size you need. And then when one pops up on Craigs List, you can pounce immediately. The super deals around here go fast, really fast.
If you are really patient and diligent, around here the thrift stores and garage sales have the best bargains. I have gotten some good vintage chrom/moly bikes at garage sales for $10, and $10 to $20 at the Thrift stores have netted some chrom/moly, reynolds 531 and similar. They just aren't out there that often....
On Craigs List around here, you can usually find a good one every couple of weeks.

As in real estate: location, location, location. Here in the Richmond, VA area, any base-level lugged frame 10 (12?)-speed in clean, ready-to-ride usually has an asking price of at least $125.00. If the market went for any less, it wouldn't be worth my time to fix and flip.

Another place where I pick up bikes (at no charge) is the local dump(recycle center). It seems a lot of people cleaning out their garages, barns, cellars, attics see old dusty bikes with flat tires and a few nicks or scratches as junk and throw them out. I just picked up a 77 Fuji Absolute that someone tossed into the scrap metal bin last week. I know it's not a high end bike but it is in really nice shape needing tires cleaning and lubing. It should make someone a decent rider at little cost. I've also have picked a Raleigh Grand Prix Mixte and a couple of decent mountain bikes. They may not all be high end but they are free and some have good parts on them.

I picked up a Ross Gran Tour several years ago. It also was a low end frame, but with a full Shimano 600 Arabesque group on it. Might be worth a look.

There's no Tour 1, as I recall. There was the Gran Tour and the Gran Tour II. I assembled and sold both many years ago and have tried to expunge those memories. If you must have an old Ross, look for a Super Gran Tour or better; all alloy components with QR front and rear versus the steel parts on the other two. Unfortunately, most of them used the odious Safety Fork End, the Chain Bike Corporation's answer to lawyer nubs on fork tips. If you are using these with a QR front wheel and they appear to be out of alignment, do not attempt to straighten these as they will almost certainly snap off. Happened on literally dozens of them during assembly
