On a club ride this morning we had 2 classic yellow bikes: a 1982 custom Mercian and my “bumblebee” 1972 Motobecane Grand Record!

I just picked up a Specialized Stumpjumper, likely a '92.

You all will be sick of seeing this one for 'color of the month', so I'll mix it up by showing a different angle. hehe

Well, you've seen "Big Bird" before and there have been some changes since this picture was taken like a more appropriate Vendo Propizio vintage saddle, wing nuts in place of the axle nuts and a vintage bottle cage. 1974 Varsity purchased from the original owner.

Is that a Lambert crankset? If so, how did you make it work on your Schwinn? Thanks.

Needs work atm. I should fix it up for this summer. It really is a great frame to ride despite probably being a size small for me.

The outer ring is Viscount, the two inner rings are Lambert, and the crank itself and BB are Nevar. You use one of these after you remove the old BB cups:

I don't recall if I used the Black Ops or Truvativ.

Thanks! I've used the Truativ BB adapter on another project but the frame I have in mind has a standard 3 Pc. BB so I wouldn't need the adapter for it. I have an old Lambert that's way too small , way too rusty and rough and missing too many original Lambert parts but I love that outer chainwheel and would love to put it to use on something.

I guess technically it isn't a bike - not yet anyway. I'm expecting this will be a winter project. A Campy Record/Super Record group would be very nice on this one. Notice the shaped tubing at the head tube and BB. I've never seen another Fondriest on the road, and only a couple of others in photos. The paint is almost perfect.

I'm sure you know it'll fit any 50.4 TA/Stronglight/Nevar/modern copy crankset.

There is a yellow tint to the cream colored powder coating. At least to my eye there is. Lemond Poprad I have owned for one week. One would think that by now I would have figured out how to keep fingers out of pictures. AAARRRGH!

Recently painted for the Clunker 100 Challenge -- 1973 Nishiki Olympic with Box O' Crap parts. I'm calling it the Pile O' Jaune.

1982 Falcon 753

Originally, it was pearl canary yellow. But, the factory paint from Falcon was terrible. It's been matte black, blue, and red before. Just painted it with the 90/91 Team Banana color scheme based on Falcon decals available on Ebay. I got bored during Covid-19.
