LOF Adaptive Skiers Ride

Rode this Sunday in a fundraiser for LOF Adaptive Skiers who help Amputees and the blind Waterski and Snow ski. After my buddy cramped up, we took a shortcut back and met the group of handcycles on their 10k ride. After riding escort with them, I am amazed at their perseverance and strength. And I survived Stage IV cancer in the last two years.
Kudos to all of them and LOF.

I've seen a few hand cycles on the bike path here. It looks like hard work. I've also seen adaptive skiers on the slopes and some of those folks really rip. Much credit to the instructors who have spent the time to learn how to teach adaptive skills.

And I refuse to arm wrestle with any one of them!

I know more or less what you are saying. Swimmers are also very strong. My nephew's daughter has been swimming competetively for a few years now. I challenged her to arm wrestle back when she was about 11 y.o. and was surprised (shocked) by how strong she was. These days she is a charming mid-teen young lady and still swimming. I would not dare challenge her now. I might get hurt.

I am an adaptive skier. Waterski with a sit-ski and the cage reversed. Have Cerebral Palsy and spina bifida, and hip issues.
