Help G.A. police to find dangerous driver

Placed on CL: https://augusta.craigslist.org/zip/d...155490022.html

Someone made a high speed, ultra-dangerous pass and almost hit a cyclist. The cameras caught the front of the car, but not the back license plate. If you can help in the investigation, please do.

Edit: I read the county and thought city. It is Georgia police.

You're joking right?? Pffft There is nice grass if wanting a bailout.
The car could open the door and still miss him. I've had exactly the same happen to me.

Although the pictures do not look like it was that close, it was no doubt scary to the rider. Google street view show that route to be a very pretty one to ride; however I've lost my courage to attempt this sort of route: a narrow two-laned US Highway with 55 mph limit.

From the CL post:

FREE HONDA CIVIC & HOUSE+Reward (Columbia Co)

The driver of this Honda decided to try and take out this cyclist on Clarks Hill Rd over the weekend head on at about 80mph after seeing the cyclist coming and then driving over the center line and passing not one but two other vehicles and squeezing himself in between the cars and the cyclist forcing the cyclist off the road. He was heard laughing as he passed by with the window down.

Unfortunately, the rear camera of the cyclist was unable to capture the license plate due to shadows & sunlight but he did have a red/gold USMC front plate. Shameful.

This is how to get the free car & house. Be the cyclist that gets killed and your family will get the car & house. Kill the cyclist while driving your car and you will lose your house and car and all your assets via the family attorney. While you rot in jail you can think about the fine southern hospitality you will receive in HELL that you showed to the guy or gal on the bike.

This person is wanted by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. A reward is being offered for anyone who can locate and supply information on the driver and whereabouts of the vehicle leading to arrest and conviction.

Once again, you have proven your failure to understand wide angle lenses.
