A DeRosa with corrugated tubing? Interesting

Different DeRosa company/builder from the commonly seen one.

Any idea what are those black calipers? What was the frameset tubing?
The brake calipers look like Dia Compe Royal Gran Compes or similar word salad name from them. Single pivots. The colors of this Allez screams 1996 Allez SE, as does the crankset. Though the graphics are wrong, and there's a lot of Suntour Sprint.

Mid-post edit: I have found it! A (1987 according to one) Allez SE. Suntour Sprint 9000 components throughout (very nice and quite rare as a group), with Dia Compe Royal Gran Compe brake calipers and levers. Someone has obviously messed around with the cockpit on this one, sadly, but the rest remains.

Tubing is their own blend of DB chromoly, just like my '85 Allez SE, except mine was a "racing" blend where they found some extra lead to put into it. A semi-educated guess is that this frame, fork, and headset weigh 3200g or so all together. Not bad, but a pound heavier than a true top flight frameset. The good thing is on these Specializeds, is that they are still extremely good riders, climbers, and handlers. They just feel a little more solid...

This one made me do a double-take. It's apparently a pro team bike, for Team Litespeed. But here's the kicker, it's not made of titanium as you'd expect, it's a carbon frame:

https://monterey.craigslist.org/bik/...091542517.html

Good price on a pro bike, at any rate. Components and wheels alone are probably worth $750.

This doesn't have the Minnesota Bridgestone Tax applied to it yet. Decent paint & decals, nice thumbies, etc. I even like the worn Turbo.

No detailed photos on that Litespeed but I think I see fillet welds, in which case its probably aluminum with carbon fork and seat stays.

I see the hallmarks of (hydroformed) aluminum and carbon (stays and fork) as well. Still, very clean 7800-equipped bike from a well-regarded manufacturer, so $750 is still a reasonable asking price.

Interesting, that's how our Target looks right now too (just two 20" wheel BMX bikes).

Maybe the flippers out there don't have cash flow, so we're seeing "get this out of my garage prices"
I've noticed an uptick in potential 'regret' postings; nice recent bikes asking for >60% of MSRP.

Otherwise it's nothing special, as usual here.

I had a 24" wheeled Specialized that looked very similar to that, as a mountain bike / gravel bike growing up in N.M. It was the same weight as my dad's Rockhopper, and he rode the largest frame they made. I suspect the BMX hybrid wasn't much lighter. I believe we moved that thing three times and ended up chopping it up to use the deraileur, chain, and the big cog off the freewheel to turn the oil pump on the big Nasal 3B power hammer in the forge/shop.
