This is a '70's juvenile Peugeot, probably a G50, with 24" wheels. Not mine, I just noticed it on CL.

I spotted this young fella at the TDU king of the mountain stage. I think he came up from the bottom of the climb. The bikes a Davis brand, never heard or seen full size bike from them and the components looked quite good.

Seeing that mini Gitane when I first visited VO was what inspired me to seek out a junior drop bar bike for Nora.

John-do you have junior levers?
velo classique in VA has the best pairs available "CLB", same as on Nelli's bike
I think he said 25 bucks which is really cheap

I've been meaning to give an update on the latest Jr I facilitated and built for a friend. It's the bike on CL I posted a page or two bake. The new owner's dad wanted it powder-coated, so I remove some of the goofy cable routing braze-ons and added an under BB guide. I had the black Jr cranks and a small set of aluminum bars in the stash. He had me pick up a set of Tektro dual pivots and an aluminum seat-post in back.

Before:

After:

(note: that carpet is at the skating rink, not mine )

Bought this from member FtWelder in VT last Christmas.

Needs some 520mm 24" Alloy rims and lighter groupset!

Road brakes are tough on little hands, though. Jimmy's the right size for the bike, but not quite the right strength.

looks like a happy new rider!

junior brake levers- I have and veloclassique has for 25 bucks,a very worthy investment.

the rims should be 540's - I have 2 aluminum pairs to part with

the handlebars should be 34-36cm center to center.thay are avail for 12 bucks from ???? who was it again?

the rest is "childs play"

yes, 540. I have to look at Sheldonbrown.com every time I type that or I'll get it wrong. These are the wheelchair/british JRB size.

Handlebars are the correct size--- everything's original on the bike. What do the Junior Brake Levers do? Are they smaller "turkey levers?"

they are dedicated junior levers WO turkey levers, the reach is something like 60-70 compared to 80-90 adult, they are for children.

there is a link at the top about this subject.
