One that comes to mind is this epic rationalization fail:

"sure its $2 for the giant bag of mushrooms but its 36 minutes travel time PLUS more importantly the 2 gallons of gasoline to go Get that $2 bag of mushrooms. so that means its actually a $9 bag of mushrooms."

Too wordy, and has no flow.

Incidentally, you spend a fair amount of time reading someone who you are ignoring. Do you have a special file that stores posts by people you you put on Ignore so you can read them at leisure?

I get a chuckle out of "we went to planet fitness to bang some plates around". Just sounds so ridiculous, especially since the source is using machines which of course don't use plates.

Notice what they call the weights.

We can both find random references to support our argument:
https://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-wei...m#did-you-know

but the fact remains that regardless of whata manufacturer call the parts of a weight machine, when a person in a gym talks about plates they are talking about these:
https://www.fitnessgiant.com/freeweights1.html
https://www.roguefitness.com/weightli...tes.php?cat=57
https://www.christiansfitnessfactory....w-all-products

and if they use the term plate in reference to a machine it usually references these:
https://www.christiansfitnessfactory....w-all-products
https://www.technogym.com/us/products...machines/10609
https://www.power-systems.com/s-41-pl...-machines.aspx

It's ok Neil, you can continue to talk manly if you want, and I'll continue to chuckle.

I know he got it from someone here, but I like what TrojanHorse has under his name. "I dropped myself" makes me chuckle every time I see it.

It's still one of my favorites for its inanity.

Incidentally, I never put him on Ignore. (I have never put anyone on Ignore.) I get a kick out of some of his stuff. I don't now where you came up with that idea.

Here's mine:

"All the sugar in that donut creates a sugar rush, thereby causing your body to burn off all the calories in the actual donut itself, and then some. So after it's all said and done, really donuts are negative calories."

For some reason people look at me weird when I explain that. Seems like simple physics and thermodynamics to me.

And no, I don't subsist on donuts, I do realize that I do need actual nutrition and calories.

Four wheels move the body; two wheels move the soul.

I can't attribute it to it's proper author, but I will say that I first heard it in reference to motorcycles.
