Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

On the plus side, Monday Night Football doesn't go past midnight.

I'm in bed well before halftime anyway, as it is, but there was a time I wasn't.

That's right. I forgot to mention the Blue Bell Ice Cream. "We eat all we can and sell the rest." Best motto for a company I know of.

I watch MNF with the sound virtually on mute, simply because I cannot stand the elementary, pedantic commentary of John Gruden. I've heard many college commentators and even some high school commentators better than him. He SUCKS! He must have some dirt on somebody because I just don't see why he's still around. Just because you won a Super Bowl doesn't mean you're competent at all things football.

Did I mention he sucks?

yeah, at least until I determine I don't ship my bikes all that often. I think I'll use it for storage or a counter in the meantime.

Meh, I don't think any of the announcers are actually that good. I mostly watch football by having it on while I bum around the internet. So much standing around in that sport.

I'm sure you saw that Gruden got re-upped to a long-term contract.

I totally missed that you were moving to Texas, until today. Which part?

Oh, and Ben & Jerry's > Blue Bell. One of the ways I'm still a die-hard yankee.

Die-hard...and wrong! Just IMO, of course.

Ben and Jerry's is all about the bizarre flavors. You never hear anyone say they really love that Ben and Jerry's vanilla. At least I don't. But Blue Bell is all about the basics like the Homemade Vanilla. Sublime. Actually I like the Natural Vanilla Bean even better. Sure they have kitchen sink flavors too. They do it all well.
