This little guy tagged along

I rode down the street and back, then noticed I had taken this critter for a ride. Dropped off safely in shrubs:

I had a big dragonfly land on my top tube behind the stem. Stayed there for about 5 miles and then flew off.

That's smaller than the spider I plucked off my bike last week.

this forum needs a "like" button

had a small frog park it's butt on on son's back tire. since he's away at school now, the next day, I put his bike in the basement. totally forgot about the frog, but after getting his bike on the hooks in the ceiling, I saw the frog on the basement floor on my way out. of course it peed a little as I carried it out ... :/

A couple years ago we planted dill in our garden, and these guys came out in force to eat it. I knew it was butterfly larvae of some sort, but didn't know what it was. My son and I put on in a bug cage with some sticks & sprigs of dill and let it spin a cocoon. After about a week or so out popped a black swallowtail butterfly. It was a very good learning experience for my son.

After googling it, apparently swallowtail caterpillars love to eat dill plants.

I've found cobwebs stringing between brake or shifter cables on the front of the bike after a few hours riding. Those things can be surprisingly strong.

I do try to avoid giving critters rides, especially those that land on my glasses

There's about 50 of them on my back patio. Thinking about maybe making some lizard skins bartape....
