Temporary Tensioner?

Broke my rear derailleur, certainly not headline material in this forum! Now the bike is down for a week awaiting parts to do the repair the right way. I tried to see if any of my gear combos were "magic" enough to make it ridable while I wait for parts, but no dice there.

My question is: does anyone make a chain tensioner capable of clamping on a chain stay, or bolting to the hanger that can be kept around in the event of this happening again? The bike would be usable as a single speed and keep me moving instead of grounded for a week.

I guess it should be adjustable in or out to accommodate the different chain lines resulting from gear selection, and readily mountable/removable. Can't think of anything else it should do.

If there is such a beast, would you be kind enough to give the name and source, or link me to it? Thanks!
