My kid just conned me out of one of my very favorite saddles, and I'm not all that crazy about his handlbar preferences - but at least he's getting a ton of use out of what was likely our last "father-son project"...

That bike looks rad and fun to ride. although wider bars would be sweet.

You might want to get a front brake or straps for those platform pedals. Also if I were you, I wouldn't powder coat the frame matte black. I would actually leave the frame color as is and ditch the neon stuff for something cleaner and low profile. but that's just me.

Good morning, everyone! *yawwwwn....*
Such a beautiful day for a bike ride! Nice to see these pretty bikes here as well as the courteous, kind, constructive criticism. But lets not change the quotes, please. It's not fair to portray someone as saying something they didnt, ya know? Makes other people look bad and causes negativity all around.
Thanks!

I am actually selling all the neon stuff as we speak I will probably switch to H.E.D wheelset carbon fork and i might put some drop bars on it.. just gonna have fun with it. Credit card trick worked for me so no more stickers on it.

Personally, I quite like the neon yellow and grey color scheme. I'd put the aerospoke in the front, though....

It's almost as if you went through these forums to see what people consider "wrong" on an FG and built this bike to spec All it needs is strange tilt on the saddle and maybe a sticker that says "FIXIE"

lol. Btw, was that "no changing the quotes" aimed at me? The only thing I changed was removing 3 out of 4 pictures in the quote because I didn't think it was necessary to re-post all the pics. I didn't realize that was against the rules. My bad, still learning BF

Nope, it was aimed at me. I changed yer quote, and Yoda's butt started aching about it(probably because IAMSAM whined about me), because he doesn't understand the concept of "ftfy" in forums.

Did someone complain about you? Where? I saw you change the quote and I thought I'd be the nice one and just delete it and explain why it's not a good idea (btw, check out the forum guidelines) but I guess that was hard to swallow. Please leave this thread.

Ah, I see there has been a lot of misunderstanding here. C'mon guys, let's just clink some pints, get drunk, and lose ourselves in serious oil wrestling, like the Vikings did. Am i right?
Anyway, here are some pics of my old Steamroller. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER SOLD YOU! I HOPE HE LOVES YOU BETTER THAN I DID - "I HOPE HE BUYS YOU FLOWEERRsszzzz..."

I always loved that color, as you can see from my kids bike which originally had risers on it til he started changing it up for himself. Great tires too - ran some CX tires on ours(?) along the way.
And I know how you feel about missing yours - kind of wish I got to ride my son's bike more often...

^^^ That is the nicest renditions of a Steamroller I've ever seen !
One question, though. Your pedalroom says that the cranks are Sugino RD2, but I've never seen them with the vintage Sugino crown logo. Did you somehow add the logo yourself ?

That is a great question. I bought them here https://www.benscycle.com/p-913-sugi...-crankset.aspx and the arms are Stamped RD2 but they came stock with an 1/8" ring instead of a 3/32" like at Retrogression. I picked them up in December for $89. Not sure what the deal with that is. I didn't care because I couldn't find a better deal on just the arms and I don't want a 1/8" 48T ring anyway so it just went in my parts bin.
