I will miss this damn bike so much as it was my first real build and have put over 7k miles since last year February.
Time to build up a new bike for next year. Im thinking a steel frame. Would love to find a bridgestone in my size.
Anyway, Be safe out there guys and please don't forget to wear your helmet because If I didnt I wouldve been a vegetable or dead.
Sorry to hear this. I'm glad you are ok! Excuse me, please, if I dare to give you an advice. I don't know if a front brake would have helped in the circumstance of this accident, but I think it wouldn't do any harm in the future.

(Yesterday) I took home a Cannondale MC400 my dad found for my oldest daughter to use. MUSA 24" MTB hotness. Pics coming.

Bikepacking is awesome.
My friends can't climb worth a poop.
A pile of pictures and whatnot to come.

In the meantime, here's a photo of me yawning...this sums up how I feel this morning pretty well.

Thanks. I know where you're coming from, but unfortunately in this accident brakes didn't matter because there was absolutely no time to react. Ive been in 3 accidents on that bike- first one getting doored, second time getting cut off, and this one. All of which where it didnt matter or not to have brakes. I just feel like Nyc traffic is getting worse and worse each year as to which people are becoming much more aggressive drivers.

A/V system is nice with a 42" LED tv and sound bar with powered sub, small love seat that my ex wife insisted that I take when I moved out. I have adult stuff, it just looks like a cyclist lives here. Vertical storage of two bikes in plain sight. Rubber mat behind the kitchen table for dirty/wet bikes. Couple of dang grease stains in the carpet unfortunately. Bike stand tucked in the corner. Lights charging on the side table. I accept it. Spare bedroom/computer room has tires, tubes, and 3 sets of wheels in it.

Today I turned into Thor and managed to strip the threads on the stem of my SS MTB turned commuter. Pretty sure I forgot to grease that one before I put it in when I swapped the bar. Oops.
A lot of why I can swing this is that my parents live ~30 mi. away. I keep a lot of stuff there

Here I keep four bikes (two road, one track, one mtb) plus related shoes, helmets and all my clothing. I also keep a pump, stand, trainer, and a wooden dresser with tools, tubes and small items.

I manage to fit it all in one big rug in the corner of my bedroom. It takes up like 1/3 of the floorspace in there but I also manage to make it look somewhat organized.

Just went on a 1 hr sunset mtb cruise in the canyon by my apt and into the park that overlooks it. Totally unplanned ride - and it was totally awesome!!! So nice out.

My bike shop is going to start carrying All City bikes. He just called and asked if I wanted a Mr. Pink - I said yes.

So I guess one of these might be in my future...

Well damn, when is All Sh¡tty going to call me up for a free Mr. Pink. I want one bad especially since you cannot get any Nature Boy Zona's unless you find a used one which doesn't come up much and I could stand to build up a more modern road bike that isn't a 12speed in the old school sense (6x2)

So right now I'm waiting to get a haircut at Great Clips on senior Wednesday. Typing this on my new iPhone on the abbreviated forum really sucks.

To be fair, I think the new mobile version of the site is 100% better than the old version. Even worse was the app. I paid $2 for that thing and it was awful.

you can just view desktop version on the bottom

this version stinks no matter which platform youre viewing it on, though.

when i go to edit a post or advanced mode the page is 4 screens wide and i have to scroll to find the post button

not to mention the piss colored gradient.

Today i found out that despite my new lease starting August 1st, I can't move in until August 3rd.

So..... Guess I'll be moving all my stuff into storage for a few days. Pretty lucky my parents still have a barn about 20 mins away that has some space in it. Moving sucks and moving twice sucks more.
