Early 2000's Pinarello Galileo

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about this bike and wants it's worth. It's from around the early 2000's size 58. It has a full campy build including proton wheels and record crank with Ti rings. I have not been able to find much about it or any for sale to compare. It does have bad paint, letters coming off and peeling in a couple spots. The frame is sound, the components are great and it is tuned up. She rides great.

As noted, it is early 2000s. The frame is basically a Prince but without the carbon fibre stays. The tubing is aluminum, probably labeled as Pinarello Extreme. Decal loss is typical. Even this late, Pinarello weren't clear coating over decals. The integral headset has poor reputation.

I've got a 2002 Prince in the same paint scheme, with Proton wheels and a Chorus drivetrain. Consequently, I'm biased and will defer to others on value.

I think ebay pricing for this would be around $600 plus shipping ---- don't know what to guess for a pure private party sale though

They are nice bikes -- I have an Opera from this generation that is in my "never sell" category

Thanks, that's a lot of good info. If I keep it I'm thinking of changing the cassette to 13-29. From what I read that is the max with the short cage. For me the standard crank with a 12-23 isn't enough gear for the hills in my area.

I have a 00' Opera that will never leave home. Keep it, when it's gone it's gone.

I'm on the fence about this one. It doesn't hold any sentiment value. I opened FB market place the other day for something else and saw someone posted it a few minutes prior. I snapped it up for $70. It's pretty sweet and I can ride a 58. I'm at my bike limit though so another one would have to go. It could replace my back up road bike that also lives on the trainer for the winter. It's better bike than the GT I would part with. Either that or keep the status quo and get around a $500 payday. Hmmm

Do you think it's worth selling on eBay to a much bigger market? I'm sure shipping is quite expensive plus eBay and PayPal fees. Then I have to get a box from a bike shop I guess and pack it all up. I don't know still might keep it and sell the GT. I do like the triple triangle frame and it fits nice. Probably only worth like $200 locally though.
