Trek FX 3 Disc Vs. Trek Verve3 Disc Lowstep

After some research, I'm drawn to the Trek bikes and especially the above 2 models: Trek FX 3 Disc and Trek Verve 3 Disc Lowstep.
I do only pavement and concrete trail riding. I like a more upright position.

Anyone out there have opinions which one of these 2 might fit my needs better. Of course, if I can find them locally at a bike shop
I will be test riding.

Thanks for any advice and information,
Scubaquarius

Both are hybrids but the Verve is closer to being a beach cruiser: more upright and comfy at low speeds, might be a drag on longer hauls or at higher speeds.
the FX series are closer to road bikes: fast and nimble. Do you have any interest in riding "fast" or do you want a chilled out slow ride?

I definitely prefer the more upright, comfy rides. Though I do enjoy a good downhill "thrill"!
You have been a great help...
Thanks, Scubaquarius

Given what you've said about what you like, I think you'll immediately find a Verve to be a more comfortable bike. The standard Verve (with a standard top tube) would compare more directly against an FX. If you're looking at a a step-through frame, I think the Verve is your only option there.
