Centrally Drilled Rim - Truing, Tension and Lacing
UPDATE**
I removed 4 spokes and looked at the rim holes against a white sheet of paper and could not tell if the holes were drilled offset or not. I then placed nipples in the 4 holes and and tapped the rim gently. It does actually look like the holes are drilled offset at the hub side of the rim. Looking at the rim where the rim tape sits, the holes are most definitely centralised with no offset.

The drill bit might very well have been placed at the rim's centerline for each hole but if the drill was angled off square to the rim's tangent then the exit hole on the rim's other side (the hub facing side) will be off set a bit. Andy.
