The People Behind the Products We Buy
Ever wonder about the people who make the things we buy? We get some idea of the high profile technical people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, or even Mark Zuckerberg.
But how about the bike light guys, or the guys to started up Garmin and Thomson seat posts and that PSIMET guy?

You mean the guys who actually make the stuff in China, or the guys who designed all that stuff and run the business?
I for one do think about it. My old GPS watch just kicked the bucket with some generous help from my kid. After some research and to my delight, I found out the latest Suunto devices are still made in Finland. They just got a customer.

I mean the owners of the companies that make the things we buy. Some owners are transparent and some are not. I would imagine the China owners would be very difficult. Those here in North America or the Continent, easier.

This guy designs and builds his own stuff in his basement, and sells them on the internets. I hear he's very approachable.
