Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cold weather glove content, from one of my bike friends who is a year 'round outdoor cyclist. Edit: and I think he has Reynaud's syndrome too.

Maybe I should ask the doc for that if I don't feel better soon. I got the wheel back for my Seven and I felt good enough to go ride it for an hour yesterday. It was warm here and it felt great to sweat a little.
For some reason the guy re-used the old spokes which I've never had before. He must have misunderstood me. He's a new guy at the LBS. I didn't notice until I got home.

She told me her doc had to specifically request the more accurate test.

This from our Chief Medical Officer FWIW:

1. There are virtually no “colds” this winter. Assume that any cold symptoms are COVID-19 until proven otherwise.
  • Respiratory viral panel testing is identifying almost NO cases of ordinary cold viruses among patients or staff.

Gloves for cold hands | Heated gloves for winter cycling | Review - YouTube
I have heated gloves, which I use mainly for driving and walking around. They're okay, but the heating element is only on the back of the glove, so it's only a partial help.

My Raynauds never comes on while I'm riding, even though my hands may go numb in the usual way. It's always a few minutes after I stop and will even happen after riding the trainer and in not-too-cold weather. I sometimes get it in my feet too, in the medial plantar nerve distribution, which is analogous to the median nerve, which is where I get it in the hand.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I'm feeling a little under the weather too.

Seems to be due to an annual cold sore flareup, but this one is accompanied by some sinus drainage and a headache which is novel, plus a very tender lymph node. They typically don't affect me this much.

I'm a bit achey, too, but I don't know if that's viral or from pushing myself a bit too hard on the trainer last night. Maybe a bit of both.

Yeah, and I suspect we'll stop rolling our eyes about coworkers calling in sick when they have the sniffles or the Asian folks who show up to work in masks.

It has been my experience, when that happens. Somebody changed their program/permision/software/firmware.. I usually delete and reinstall, most times the new permissions fixes it.

That part applied to my particular workplace where they are actually "proving otherwise." As you suggested, you can always get tested again, but otherwise exactly as you say.
