Hello, putting some feelers out for an XL touring frameset. Something close to 1985, 64cm c-t, and along the lines of a Trek 620/720 or Fuji Series IV/V is the ultimate goal. Bought a lovely '85 Trek 600 sport under the assumption that it was a 620 touring and now have a bunch of components waiting for a frame. Let me know, thanks.

I have a 1987 Bianchi Trofeo frame that I was planning to sell. While not marketed as a "touring" bike, it has eyelets for mounting racks. $150 plus shipping, including shimano 105 headset. I think I have a shimano bb as well.
I will take some pictures if you're interested. (I should take them anyway.)

Now that looks like a nice model from the catalogs. As much as I would want a competition series Bianchi, even with the eyelets, I'm currently interested in experiencing what a long chain stay/touring geometry has to offer (for whatever that might be worth). If you end up taking pictures of 'er though I would love to see what it looks like. One day when my bank account recovers from all these components i just got

1990 touring frame made by Fuji work? It is identical to the Fuji Saratoga, except it has downtube mounts instead of cable stops. It was made for Backroads Touring Company.

- 25"/ 64cm frame,
- Ishiwata Splined Si35 tubing thats triple butted(total guess, but it was introduced to compete with Miyata STB tubing?) with a Spinner cromoly fork.
- 3 bottle mounts, rack and fender mounts in back, rack mounts up front, spoke holder on driveside chainstay
- was powdercoated before I got it and paint is in solid but not excellent condition.
- for sure clearance for 35mm tires, or 32mm with fenders. Might fit larger, i dont know as i havent tried.
- geometry that is very stable with front load, but plenty fun without any load at all.

You mentioned you have parts already, so this could sell as the just the frame and fork or anything in addition to that too- brakes, crank, shifters, seat post, saddle, etc.

Thanks! It was a really fun build and the few thousand miles of use were even better. It got a lot of use on regional touring and short camping rides with family. Hopefully the OP gets some good use out if it.
I am going to turn my modern steel Black Mountain Cycles gravel frame into my touring bike and either build a new gravel frame or buy one from fairlight in England. Havent decided which- depends on if I can psych myself up to dedicate the time to build the frame.
