Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

. Took the new bike.... Love it! And I'm not hating the Maxis Detonator tires. They ride nice and roll easy.

Okie dokie - everyone that has accepted the invite thus far is an admin. Not sure what that entails, but I would hope that you can invite and remove others. I'm sure that I've missed people, so feel free to fill out the ranks.

Mrs. LAJ was at Costco today, and it appears they are out of toilet paper. We may as well sell all our trucks, because that's the only reason we have them. We can't fit Costco tp and paper towel sizes in a regular car.

Whew! We just bought toilet paper there a few days ago. Honda Fit ftw! I am beginning to take seriously the advice to stock up on staples.

My local Costco was flush with toilet paper yesterday.

I no longer sail but do watch some You Tube videos to keep a finger on the pulse of the sailing world. I came across some vids of Greta Thunberg sailing home across the Atlantic with an Austrailian couple who have been living on a catamaran for 4-5 years. When they learned Greta and her dad wished to sail across so as to maintain a small carbon foot print. they volunteered.

You can only get tp at our Costco if you're there when the doors open. Mad rush for the tp aisle.

Now looks like Strava has crashed. Must be the new Addition club that pushed it over the edge.

edit: now it works

Has a rationale for the TP craze been revealed yet? Only thing I can think of is a diarrhea fear.

There's no explanation or reasonable rationale. There's also been a run on dog treats. Ass wiping and dog walks.

Went to see some stand-up the other night. A Pakistani comic joked that his mom didn't want him to marry an American girl, but not because of Trump, etc, etc, but because we don't use bidets and have a world-wide reputation for having smelly, unwashed asses. When a third-worlder tells you that you smell.. ouch.

And yes - bidet to wash, TP to dry.

My local Costco had plenty of TP but had a two case limit on water. Why would people be hoarding water?
