Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Headed to Cumberland, MD, later this morning to do an up and back on the Great Allegheny Passage starting tomorrow. I'll try to check in from the road when there is service. IIRC from my first time on the GAP, service is spotty in places.

Might just be needed. We're getting cool nights early this year. And cooler than expected days too.

When my father died, I just told them to **** off about 100 times and eventually off they ****ed. I don't think the estate paid them a dime.

My sore knee has improved greatly since the massage. And my fitness is returning too. And the weather is cooling down some. As a result, I overcooked it on yesterday's ride and was worthless the rest of the day. Today is a rest day and I'm enjoying it already.
How 'bout that Antonio Brown saga?

This advertisement used some scare tactics and said that if you pass away, the payment obligations will continue to your kids. Sad!

Sometimes yes. That's when the calories to chew them is more than the calories consumed. Good for the "too fat for this sport" club.

Aluminium is the correct British spelling. Anyone who says "kit" must use it.

Please tell me you don't say "sohntometer" for centimeter. That's a snooty physician affectation that drives me NUTS! One of my partners does it. Crazy! I think it's pseudo-French.

I thought that was primarily a surgical affectation, like "oblike" for oblique. My dad said "sohntimeter" but he was foreign.

Oh, and I don't say "kit," either.

I first heard it at my medical school. I initially thought it was a Jefferson affectation, but not everyone there said it, and I have come to the conclusion that it's a snooty doctor affectation.

Like the bowtie? That was a sure sign when I was a trainee in Boston, where great herds of snooties roamed.

It's a relaxing type of day for me: Vuelta and cortadito.

I used to work in bankruptcy law and timeshares and HOAs are two of the biggest PITAs to deal with in chapter 13 cases.
